Typography and Treatments

Consistent typography provides visual unity to our messages. Sabon and Swiss are the two font families that Illinois College uses communications. Web equivalents will carry the style through in electronic presentations.

Sabon offers a formal feel and reflects our academic personality.

Swiss includes a family of weights that make it ideal for use in headlines, subheads, callouts, captions and emphasis within text. The Swiss family is used extensively in the publication templates.

Princeton is used by Illinois College Athletics and is used for headlines and callouts. This font should only be used in athletic documents.

Making Substitutions
If an official College font is not available, the fonts Garamond and Arial may be used as a substitution.
