Residential Life

Welcome home! Your experiences in and beyond the classroom are all part of the value of your Illinois College education. Having your classmates as neighbors helps build friendships and a sense of belonging among students. The goal of the residential life program is to foster openness, respect, honesty and community.

Highlights

  • Most of our students choose to live on campus during their four years at Illinois College.
  • Seven centrally located residence halls, 23 apartments and nine campus-owned houses available for qualifying students.
  • All rooms come with two full sets of furniture; bed frame, twin mattress (XL available upon request), dresser, closet or wardrobe, desk, and desk chair.
  • Three on-campus dining locations, a snack-shop convenience store, and a Starbucks coffee shop, as well as a variety of  flexible meal plans will meet your needs.
  • All residences are air conditioned with access to free in-hall printing, coin-free laundry, and cable television. Students also have access to HBO Go, Max Go, as well as IC movies which operate like Netflix, all through their IC network login.
  • Common lounges offer big screen televisions, ping pong tables, pool tables and kitchens for cooking your own food.
  • Supportive resident assistants act as guides, resources, role models and host residence hall programs to promote the campus community.
