IC students have been nationally recognized for excellence in service to the community and many students say that their favorite memories and strongest friendships are made this way.
Our students stay busy visiting local schools to read to elementary classes, organizing campus-wide blood drives, volunteering their time and skills to help the community and engage with diverse groups of people.
In a typical year, more than 90 percent of our students spend a total of over 11,000 hours as volunteers.
Part of the goal of an IC education is to empower you to make a difference in the world. Students are inspired to think beyond themselves and gain a deeper understanding of social issues along with the ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds in an effective and compassionate way.
At Illinois College, you won’t have to wait for graduation to put your ideas to work, making a big impact on the world.
