Illinois College Fine Arts Series announces 2021-22 season

9.27.2021

The Illinois College Fine Arts Series will kick off its 42nd season of bringing outstanding, inspiring music to the Jacksonville area next month.

The season opens on Oct. 10 with an outdoor performance by the Illinois College Drumline at 3 p.m. in front of the Rammelkamp Chapel.

The series will also host the Music Wall Duo on Nov. 20 in Rammelkamp Chapel. The duo, Abigail Walsh, flute, and Pei-I Wang, piano, have been featured at music festivals and universities across the Midwest. They’ve been praised for their flawless performance of cutting-edge classical music mixed with ground-breaking contemporary music.

Other season highlights include class of 2000 alumnus Homer Ferguson III playing the organ in Rammelkamp Chapel in February and the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra 18-piece ensemble in March. IC’s own soprano extraordinaire Mathilda Edge ’11 will conclude the season in April.

Individual tickets for the Illinois College Fine Arts Series are $15, and season tickets, which include all five concerts, are available for $70 each. Students of all ages receive free admission. Tickets are available for purchase in advance by phone at 217.245.3192.
