Your Music. Your Passion. Your Scholarship.
Turn your passion into a SCHOLARSHIP! Each year, IC awards thousands of dollars in music scholarships - open to all students, no matter your major. Join one of our vocal, instrumental, or percussion ensembles and keep your passion for music alive while you pursue any field of study. While our performers major in something else, music stays part of their story.

Register for an in-person audition at one of the following dates:
- In-Person Audition :: What do I prepare?
An audition consists of two separate pieces, preferably contrasting in style. Students performing on multiple instruments or skills can perform one piece on each. A faculty accompanist is available if you would like, but not required. Bring music for accompanist if you are planning to perform with them. Once your registration is received, a member of our staff will be in touch to confirm your audition time.

Send us a video (or two or three!) via the Music Recruitment Form
- Video Audition :: What do I submit?
Video submissions can take a variety of forms. Many students follow the guidelines for in-person auditions, submitting two contrasting pieces. Some students upload their district honors band or choir video audition, while others send a quick cell phone video shot in a practice room. We do ask that you are visible and identifiable in whatever you submit.
Most videos are at least two minutes in length. Consider editing down anything longer than 5 minutes as there is a upload limit of 10GB per file. If you have multiple skills or play multiple instruments, feel free to submit multiple files.
If you prefer, you can also submit links to videos housed on third party sites such as YouTube, Dropbox, or Google Drive. Just make sure all sharing and permissions are enabled so that we can view them without delay.
Once we receive your submission, a member of our department will reach out to discuss ensembles, courses, and even private lessons suited to your unique skills and interests, as well as opportunities to earn music scholarship money for your participation!
