IC hosts kid-friendly evening of Halloween music

10.16.2019

Master storytellers Mike Anderson ’74, Kath Brinkmann and Bobby Norfolk will present “Tales After Dark” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, on the upper quad of the Illinois College campus.

The evening is part of the new Family Night Series, an addition to IC’s longtime Fine Arts Series, which has brought outstanding performing arts to the Jacksonville area for 40 years.

Anderson is a Jacksonville native whose combination of music, storytelling and humor has made him a popular performer throughout the Midwest. Brinkmann, of Urbana, and Norfolk, of St. Louis, will join Anderson to present Halloween-themed musical tales in various outdoor locations. Concert attendees will be able to walk between performances on the steps of Tanner Hall, the Steuer Walkway and at the College seal, each lasting about 20 minutes. Light refreshments will be available.

Tickets are $5 for adults, children and students are free. Admission is included in the Fine Arts Series season tickets. Tickets are available before the event at IC’s Baxter Hall. A map of the Illinois College campus is located here
