Osage Orange Festival

Join us during our annual Osage Orange Festival to welcome the Class of 2024 and their families into the Illinois College alumni community.
The event includes free admission, inflatables, face painting, games and fun activities for all ages — for all attendees. A variety of the area’s favorite food trucks (Twyfords BBQ, Leo’s on Wheels and Lazy Laker) will provide festive food and drink options, including beer and wine, for purchase.
Sponsored by the Illinois College Alumni Association, this year’s event is expected to draw a large crowd to celebrate the achievements of Illinois College graduates in the tradition of Osage Orange. The festival dates back to 1882, when students and faculty would break from their studies to picnic and trim the Osage hedge that surrounded campus. In that same spirit, we look forward to seeing new and familiar faces alike for a fun-filled evening.
