Osage Orange Festival

Osage Orange Festival
Saturday, May 2, 2026 | 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Historic Upper Quad

Join us during our annual Osage Orange Festival to welcome the Class of 2026 and their families into the Illinois College alumni community.

The event is an opportunity for graduating seniors, faculty, staff, and their families to celebrate. It will include free admission, inflatables, games and fun activities for all ages — for all attendees. Chartwells Catering will provide food and drink options, including beer and seltzers. BrainFreezers will provide fun snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for purchase.

Sponsored by the Illinois College CSEIB and Illinois College Alumni Association, this year’s event is expected to draw a large crowd to celebrate the achievements of Illinois College graduates in the tradition of Osage Orange. The festival dates back to 1882, when students and faculty would break from their studies to picnic and trim the Osage hedge that surrounded campus. In that same spirit, we look forward to seeing new and familiar faces alike for a fun-filled evening.
