Admitted Students

All first-year students take a First-Year Seminar. This experience will introduce you to college-level work as you develop classroom discussion, critical reading and writing skills, learn the distinct value of a liberal arts education and explore various fields of knowledge.

All First-Year Seminar participants form academic learning communities with an oral or written communication course. A mentoring team, comprised of a student affairs professional and student leader, also works closely with each First-Year Seminar. 

In order for us to save seats in a tentative schedule for you, please choose six First-Year Seminars and 10 other general courses that interest you the most. Please list them in the order of preference. Course preferences must be completed one week prior to your READY, Set, Go! registration day.

First-Year Seminar and first semester course preferences may be accessed via Connect2 using your network login and password (refer to the "Network Login and Other Important Technology Information" flyer that was part of your deposit pack or as listed in your application status portal).
