Student Financial Services

Many students qualify for financial aid to help in making their college journey more affordable. The resources below, plus the available one-on-one guidance from staff can help you create a plan that works for you.

The FAFSA opens each year on October 1; send your FAFSA to Illinois College as soon as possible.

To be considered for financial aid from Illinois College and for state and federal programs, students must complete the FAFSA each year, which requires the following from students and parents:

  • Federal Student Aid (FSA) User ID and password for both the student and a parent. The FSA ID can be created, retrieved, and updated at fsaid.ed.gov
  • For the 2018-2019 FAFSA, use 2016 Federal Income and Tax information for both the student and parent(s). You will not update this information, even after completing 2017 taxes.

To complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid, click here to be directed to the FAFSA website or visit fafsa.gov.
