READY, Set, Go! Registration Day Student Schedule :: April 13, 2019

BEFORE READY, Set, Go! Be sure to login to Connect2 to:

  • Choose the first-year seminar and courses that you are most interested in. It’s the only way we can have a tentative schedule ready for your registration appointment.
  • Complete the math and language placement tests. They must be done before you will be able to be scheduled for courses in these areas.

Welcome to campus! Get ready for great day!

  • READY, Set, Go! - Check-in at the main table first to get your updated schedule and nametag. Before you meet with your registration advisor, take a few moments to complete the Advising Information sheet to help you think about your academic goals.
  • Financial Responsibility - IC is committed to helping you understand the best solution for financing your college education. We'll review your information with you and see if you have any questions about your financial plan.
  • Student Identification Card Photos - Now that you're a part of the IC family, let's take a photo for your ID card! You will receive your printed ID card on move-in day in August.
  • Finish In 4 - Learn what you need to do to be eligible for this program to ensure you graduate in four years.
  • Health Services - Find out whether you have completed the required steps and submitted the proper health information.

11 to 11:45 a.m. | The First-Year Experience: Framing the Purpose of an IC Education

The first year MATTERS! We'll talk about WHY. Learning job skills are not enough. The First-Year Experience helps students to become learners and active members of our community. You will also receive details on this year's summer reading and writing assignment.

11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. | Lunch Buffet

12:45 to 1:10 p.m. | Meet your Registration Advisor

You will meet a faculty member and start developing an important connection for your time at IC. You'll briefly go over your academic goals and the IC Blueprint general education program.

1:15 to 4:10 p.m. | Registration Appointment and Information Sessions

You will divide into small groups and be led by your Connections Leader to each of these four sessions. Check your group letter assigned at check-in to see which group you will be with.

Fall Course Registration | Baxter Hall Computer Labs
Students will meet one-on-one with their registration advisor to select or review classes for the fall semester. We encourage you to take the opportunity to make changes. Once your appointment is done, be sure you receive your first-year seminar assignment for the Summer Reading and Writing program.

Residence hall life adds exciting dimensions to a student's overall campus experience. Find out all you need to know about the staff and services available. We'll also get you on your way to building community with other new students in the Class of 2023.

Get Involved & Connected | Kirby Hall 110
Students who are involved on campus are more likely to get good grades, more likely to graduate, more likely to build skills employers want and more likely to make phenomenal college memories! Learn details about the Center for Student Involvement and how the first year matters! Explore student organizations, leadership and diversity programs, literary societies, convocations, intramural and more.

This is the time to get your questions answered from the students who are making the most of their time at Illinois College. Our Connections Leaders will serve as the panelists and will share their stories with you!

4:15 to 4:30 p.m. | Wrap-up and Check-out Process

Everyone will need to meet together at the end of the day to learn the next steps to get you ready for Welcome Week in the fall. Make sure you know what to look for from the College over the summer. We'll also collect your feedback form from the day!

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Student-Athlete Meeting (required for all student-athletes and their families only)
Kirby Hall 006

Student-athletes will meet with a representative from the athletics department to complete a few forms that are required to be able to compete in intercollegiate athletics at Illinois College. We ask that everyone please bring their health insurance card, or a picture of the front and back of their card, as well as their cell phone with them to this session.

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | (Optional) Campus Tours

Take an in-depth campus tour and learn about campus. The tour will provide you with great insights into your campus experience.
