Enrollment Checklist :: First-Year Student

Login to the IC Student Portal through Single Sign-On

Set up your login information, security questions and authentication by going to login.ic.edu and using the login credentials that you can find at admission.ic.edu/apply/status.

Set up your IC Email and Security

Each student receives a Gmail account that is permanent as long as the campus is using Google services. Go to login.ic.edu and select Gmail.

File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) >> Financial Aid Offers will be available in April <<

File your FAFSA ONLINE HERE

Once you have filed your FAFSA the federal government will send your information to all schools you listed when you filed sometime in March 2024, once we receive your information we will put together your financial aid offer.

Complete your housing application >> NOW OPEN <<

Reserve your place in the residence halls with the housing application. Go to login.ic.edu, select “Illinois College Residential Life” from the main page and then select “Applications and Housing Application - New Students Fall 2024.”

If you are not planning to live on campus, go to login.ic.edu, select “Illinois College Residential Life” from the main page, then select “Housing Exemption Request Form.” 

If you plan to commute you can choose an IC Commuter Meal Plan from options you can find here. 

Register for one READY, Set, Go! Registration Day

Register to participate in one of our READY, Set, Go! Registration days. Pick your classes, meet your advisor and connect with future classmates on one of these dates: 

Complete required placement exams >> NOW OPEN <<

Placement exams can be taken for placement in certain classes, including math and foreign languages.

  • Go to login.ic.edu and log in to Connect2 by selecting Connect2 and using your network login and password. 
  • Select the New Students Tab and choose Complete required placement exams from the left hand menu and follow the instructions. If you have questions please contact your Admission Counselor.

Exams must be completed one week prior to your READY, Set, Go! registration day.

Complete your First-Year course preferences >> Will open in EARLY APRIL <<

For your course preferences, you will choose the five first-year seminars and eight other general courses that interest you the most. Please list them in the order of preference. 

  • To create your tentative fall schedule get started on your course preferences by logging into Connect2 at login.ic.edu, using your network login and password. You will work with a registration advisor at READY, Set, Go! to set your fall schedule.
  • Select the New Students Tab and choose First-Year Seminar and Course Preferences from the left hand menu and choose the select your First-Year seminar and course preferences link. If you need assistance please contact your Admission Counselor. 

Course preferences must be completed one week prior to your READY, Set, Go! registration day.

Complete the Criminal & Disciplinary History Disclosure Form

Each Illinois College student who has qualified for admission is required to provide complete and accurate supplemental information regarding their criminal history and any disciplinary history with any educational institution before the enrollment process can be completed. CLICK HERE to complete the form. 

Complete and submit Health and Immunizations Forms

Complete your health history, immunization and physical form by July 1. Download your health forms below. To return the forms, upload them at login.ic.edu in the MediCat app. If you are unable to upload forms contact your Admission Counselor.

Submit your student ID photo

Upload a photo to use as your IC Student ID photo on the Admission portal. Photos should not include hats, sunglasses, and should not be group photos.

If you need Academic Accommodations visit Disability Services to access forms and resources and contact Alicia Gatti, Coordinator of Disability Resources, at alicia.gatti@ic.edu to discuss your needs and accommodations.
