Education

Meredith Kunz is an Assistant Professor of Education at Illinois College. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and an M.S. in Chemistry, and she brings experience as a high school science educator to her work in teacher education. Her teaching and research interests center on STEM education, science teaching and learning, and the use of digital games to support student learning. Her doctoral research explored student learning through a digital game designed to teach concepts related to special relativity. At Illinois College, she teaches courses in general education, science methods, assessment, and Earth Science. She is particularly interested in preparing future educators to engage students in meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences in science.
