Illinois College Board of Trustees Chair Steven ’77 and Betsy Huss Mills ’77 have continued their dedication to providing life-changing learning opportunities for Illinois College students — and challenged you to do the same — with a commitment to match all donations toward experiential learning up to $750,000.
The Board Chair Challenge will match each dollar you donate toward experiential learning with a gift to the Mills Experiential Learning Fund. Gifts toward the Board Chair Challenge make an important impact campus-wide by providing students:
- Active-learning experiences like internships, student-faculty research, global travel and community engagement.
- Learning opportunities embedded in the first-year experience and continuing through graduation.
- Practice applying classroom knowledge in professional situations, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Students gain the valuable reasoning, communication and critical thinking skills that today’s employers most value.
By participating in this challenge, you allow the College to expand its efforts to engage students in experiential learning that launches them toward success in 21st-century careers.
