On this trip, you will participate in field experiences in one of three areas -- the ecology of Cuba, its healthcare system or photography. If you aim for the healthcare track, you will visit clinics and hospitals. On the ecology track, you will train to participate in research on bats and orchids. If you plan to study Cuba through photography, you will work with a UPR faculty member to develop a portfolio.
If you wish to practice your Spanish in a welcoming society while encountering an amazingly untouched natural world, so close and yet for decades so far from the US, this trip is for you.
