If you are a first-generation college student, you may be eligible to participate in the Yates Fellowship Program, a yearlong learning community that will provide support as you begin your journey at IC.
The Yates Fellowship Program begins with a two-week, on-campus program prior to the start of the academic year. During the summer program, students work closely with Illinois College faculty members strengthening skills in writing and mathematics, improving organizational and study skills, and gaining a clearer sense of how a liberal arts college prepares students to achieve their life and career goals.
Students will work closely with the Yates leadership team and an academic advisor throughout the entire academic year. There is no cost to participate in this program.
