Local businesses pack the house to go ALL IN FOR IC

3.04.2020

Several area businesses will donate a portion of their sales on March 10 -11 to support Illinois College students for ALL IN FOR IC, the College’s third annual day of giving.

#ALLIN4IC Pack the House events will be held at Leo’s Pizza and Buffalo Wild Wings in Jacksonville, and at Engrained Brewery & Restaurant in Springfield. All patrons who present an ALL IN FOR IC ticket (printed or on a mobile device) at the time of ordering will qualify for a portion of their order to benefit the one-day fundraising drive.

On March 10, Leo’s Pizza will donate 15% of eligible orders. On March 11, Buffalo Wild Wings Jacksonville will give 15% of all pre-taxed food sales (less alcohol and promotional discounts) from 4-10 p.m.; and Engrained Brewery & Restaurant will donate 10% of purchases.  ALL IN FOR IC fundraising tickets are available at the Alumni House or online at www.ic.edu/ALLIN4IC/packthehouse.

ALL IN FOR IC has become the College’s single largest fundraising day of the year. Funds raised during the day ensure students have year-round access to scholarships, enhanced academic programs and learning opportunities like study abroad and internships. Through a dollar-for-dollar match provided by a group of generous donors, all gifts made to ALL IN FOR IC are doubled.

While ALL IN FOR IC has attracted hundreds of donors from around the world, this is the first time that local businesses have been involved. Dustin Crews, who owns Buffalo Wild Wings in Jacksonville, is a longtime partner of IC.

"We're a national brand that's locally owned and locally vested,” Crews said. “So, with Illinois College, it just makes sense to support the folks that support you.”

Kris Williams Houser ’91, executive director of development and alumni relations, said that her team will be visiting the various pack the house events. She encourages all IC supporters to make a gift to the IC Fund to go ALL IN FOR IC and then patronize participating businesses to celebrate their connections to the College.

“We are so grateful to have community partners during this important day of giving for Illinois College. These events will bring together alumni and friends of the College on what has become an exciting day of support for our students,” Houser said. “You get to directly support student success at Illinois College and enjoy wonderful locally-owned restaurants — it’s truly a win-win situation.”
