Bio
Adam Porter believes in cross-cultural understanding. To that end, he has taken groups of students on BreakAways to many different countries, including the UK, Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Cuba, and Japan. He particularly loves introducing students to new cultures and showing them how to be a good traveler with a goal to empower them to travel widely and enjoy other cultures. He has similar goals when teaching religion courses and aims to introduce students to new ways of understanding the world and how different religions respond to it. As a professor, he identifies with Morpheus from the movie The Matrix when he advises Neo to "free your mind." He too hopes a liberal arts education will open a whole new world to students.
