Dr. Chamberlain recently worked with students to built a hand-gesture-sensing glove using flex sensors and an Arduino microcontroller. The glove was connected via Bluetooth to an earlier robotics project to control the robot's motion with gestures.
I really enjoy those moments when students point out an alternate way of solving a problem or a different technique for an experiment. It's great to reach that point where students are using their critical thinking skills and applying what they have learned.
