Explore the rich cultural history of the diverse racial and ethnic identities that coexist in Martinique, an island in the French Caribbean.

Students will spend the morning learning to communicate in French, then enjoy afternoons exploring the bustling city of Fort-de-France as well as some of the more scenic corners of the "Island of Flowers": a banana museum, a museum of slavery, and nature preserves. They will participate in a Creole cooking class. And yes, they will have opportunities to snorkel and relax on those breathtaking beaches!
