Uchenna Ani ’18 said one of her favorite experiences at Illinois College has been working on student-faculty research.
The biology and psychology major from Nigeria was initially intimidated to come to the college, but quickly made connections among her classmates and professors. She said the experience is very different from what she imagined and she has really benefited from knowing her classmates and receiving one-on-one attention and guidance from professors.
“Coming here and being away from my home and my family, I was very nervous at first. I was amazed at how quickly I felt like a part of this small, tight-knit school. There are so many programs for incoming students to help them feel connected to other students.”
