Nathan Chilton '19
When Nathan Chilton ’19 made the decision to switch his profession from construction to elementary education, he knew Illinois College was the best place to launch his new career.
Nathan’s decision to come to IC to become a teacher grew out of a desire to share his knowledge with others. He felt that IC faculty both challenge and support students and believes the education program has prepared him well to begin student teaching in the fall. Nathan credits IC with helping him learn how to build connections and develop a sense of community with those around him — valuable skills as he looks to collaborate with new colleagues and establish his future classroom.
