Ellie Johnson '17
Ellie Johnson `17 knew that IC’s top biology program would prepare her for a future career she hopes to have working in physical therapy, but she was surprised at how much her experiences outside of the lab prepared her.
Ellie joined Alpha Phi Omega to make friends and give back to the local community, but she had no idea the impact participating in the service organization would have on her education.
“I loved serving in Alpha Phi Omega. I became a better leader and worked on my communication skills. That was a valuable experience for the future. Some of the most simple experiences I had through this service organization were very meaningful to me. I gained experience working with many different people. The gratitude that everyone showed in the community really grew my passion for serving others.”
