With the support of more than 750 donors from across the country, Illinois College’s second annual Day of Giving, ALL IN FOR IC, on March 13, 2019, raised over $270,000.

The initiative was led by the Illinois College Board of Trustees, who collectively matched all gifts, dollar-for-dollar, made to the IC Fund during the event. The IC Fund is Illinois College’s annual fund to provide a wide-range of opportunities and resources for students including scholarships, study abroad, internships, enhanced academic programs and community engagement.

Illinois College Board of Trustees Chair Steven ’77 and Betsy Huss Mills ’77 made an additional $10,000 gift to the IC Fund as their challenge to the Illinois College community to reach 700 donors by the end of the day on March 13 was reached.

Illinois College President Barbara A. Farley said the collective effort demonstrates the degree to which the Illinois College community is dedicated and connected to what is currently happening on campus. She expressed her gratitude for those who made a gift to support student success on the day.

“It was wonderful to be on campus tracking our progress alongside students, faculty and staff during the Day of Giving. I’m excited to see what students are able to accomplish with this widespread support,” said Dr. Farley. “I am confident this day will have an immediate and notable impact.”

Participants were able to track the campaign’s success with an interactive website that showed results consistently ahead of last year’s totals throughout the day.
