Templeton Counseling Center (TCC) has an integral part in fulfilling the educational mission of Illinois College and the Division of Student Affairs. The Center is dedicated to providing students with psychological support as they pursue their academic and personal goals and to facilitating the acquisition of psycho-emotional skills that will enable them to grow and develop throughout their lives.
The Center offers a range of counseling services:

:: psycho-educational workshops/presentations
These services are provided by Licensed Mental Health Professionals and are free to all IC students.
Illinois College has also contracted with Memorial Behavioral Health-Jacksonville and The Center for Psychiatric Health for psychiatric and additional psychotherapy services. There is a $10 co-pay for these additional services but no limit on the number of sessions for IC students during the academic year. These services, as well as other off campus resources, are available through TCC.

The TCC office is located on the third floor of the Bruner Fitness and Recreational Center. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services are by appointment only and evening hours are available upon request. Contact TCC at 217.245.3073 for details and referrals.
After hours psychological emergency services can be accessed by contacting your resident assistant or public safety at 217.245.3111 or through the emergency department at Passavant Hospital at 217.245.9541, ext. 5882. Passavant Hospital is located at 1600 West Walnut Street, Jacksonville, Illinois.
