I want to convey the enormous gratitude Illinois College — and I, personally — have for all the philanthropy represented by this Impact Report. Every time I get to attend an event, meet with alumni or write letters like this one, I genuinely look forward to telling you about the exciting things happening on campus. And it is not an exaggeration to say there is always good news to share — about our dedicated faculty and staff; our students who are consistently growing, learning and experiencing life-changing moments; and the donors who are listed in this issue and who power our work. This is an exciting time on the Hilltop.

Inspiring Achievement: The Campaign for Illinois College set ambitious goals — for necessary capital improvements; to promote hands-on learning opportunities through internships, research and global study; for essential scholarships; and to support and sustain our annual fund. And, because of you, we exceeded these goals! What you have helped Illinois College achieve through this historic campaign is nothing short of amazing. Lives have been, and will continue to be, transformed by the outstanding education received in our classrooms and the active learning opportunities they have – whether internships, student/faculty research, BreakAways, or some combination of these. Our beautiful campus is being revitalized in significant ways — as you can see when you look at the cover of this edition. The complete renovation of Crispin Hall holds much promise as the epicenter of new and important fields of study generating tremendous student interest.

We recognize the incredible generosity of our donors in this Impact Report, as we have the privilege to do each year. But this year, reflecting on Inspiring Achievement, is something special. Throughout this edition, you will find the inspiring and very meaningful stories of what has been made possible. Thank you for all you do to support our students and the legacy of Illinois College.
