Faculty Position in Agribusiness

Illinois College invites applications for a full-time position in Agribusiness to begin Spring 2020. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses in both face-to-face format and online. Likely teaching load will include: Emerging Issues in Ag; Natural Resources; Introduction to Agribusiness; Agricultural Marketing; Farm Management; and Agribusiness Management Capstone. Strong preference for ability to contribute to the Business program more generally, for instance through teaching courses in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, or sports management. Additional duties will include student recruitment and contribution to the ongoing development of the agribusiness program. We seek a candidate who values the liberal arts and is able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester. Faculty work closely with students both in and outside the classroom and serve the college in a variety of other ways. Professional agribusiness experience and quality teaching experience are strongly preferred. A completed Doctorate is strongly preferred, but highly qualified master’s prepared or ABD candidates will be considered.

The College is located in historic Jacksonville, Illinois, 30 miles west of the capital city of Springfield and 70 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.
