Genomics and phylogenetics of orchids and their mycorrhizal fungi
University of Missouri | B.A. | Biology
University of Missouri | Ph.D. | Biology

Sarah Unruh is interested in the evolution of orchids and the fungi that live in their roots and help them grow. She uses genetic information to study how species are related and she compares the genomes of orchid fungi to find clues for how they are able to help orchids germinate and develop.
