Public Safety

Illinois College provides the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report as a means of informing you of the policies put into place to help ensure your safety while you are on our campus, as either a visitor, student, faculty, or staff member.

Within this report, you will find many ways in which our department works with the college to maintain a safe atmosphere that is conducive to the learning environment.
Each year, Illinois College embraces a diverse student body of nearly 1,000 students as well as 200 faculty and staff, and countless visitors. Department of Public Safety officers will be the most recognizable members of the college community that you may encounter, as we are on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 
Public Safety officers provide security functions as well as offering campus safety information and programs. Illinois College must report information regarding all criminal activity at our campus and/or arrests made by law enforcement, as well as campus fire related data, to the U.S. Department of Education on an annual basis for the past three years.
