You will want to do everything possible to ensure your success once you arrive on campus. “IC Connections: The Illinois College First Year Experience” is a program to welcome and support you as a new member of our Illinois College community.
Focused on excellence, integrity, communication and respect - the principal tenets of our Affirmation of Community Responsibility - IC Connections will allow new students to share their common experience, explore values, create lasting relationships and contribute to the College’s strong sense of community.
Goals of the IC Connections Program:
- Welcome students as new members of our community
- Provide all first-year students with a common experience
- Establish the expectations of our College community
- Encourage a sense of responsibility to the campus community and beyond
- Enhance interaction between first-year students and their advisors
- Increase the number of small learning communities on campus
- Introduce incoming students to the values of Illinois College as represented in our tenets of excellence, integrity, communication, and tolerance
