Kate Muchmore's Bio
Kate Muchmore, MFA (Visiting Assistant Professor). Kate's love of theatre began in the 6th grade when she played Mrs. Claus in her elementary school musical and grew through many subsequent high school, community, college, and professional productions as an actress, stage manager, and director. She has studied theatre at Otterbein University in Ohio, Western Washington University, and the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she received a MFA in Directing. Selected directing credits include Sleeping Beauty at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, The Importance of Being Earnest at Western Washington University, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Pericles at UNCG, and Auto-da-Fé at Triad Stage. Past performance credits include Edwin Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Liesl in The Sound of Music, and several roles in Taproot Theatre Company's Road Company in Seattle, WA (2003-2004 school year). She is very excited to join the IC family and looks forward to working with the students here!
