Assistant Professor of French: Illinois College, a dynamic liberal arts college with approximately 1000 students on a historic campus in Jacksonville, IL, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in French beginning fall 2011. We seek a candidate with native or near-native fluency and knowledge of second language pedagogy to teach all levels of French. The candidate will be expected to rebuild the program, to make interdisciplinary connections, and to use his or her research and teaching areas to interest students in the French language and in French and Francophone cultures. Requires PhD or ABD in French or related.
