The Friends of Starhill Forest is a not-for-profit group that helps promote the educational and horticultural work of Starhill Forest Arboretum through financial
support and volunteer projects.
To become a Friend of Starhill Forest, simply print the
application form and mail it in with your check or volunteer commitment.
Become a Friend by contributing at one of the following levels:
· Native Forest :: $1,000
· Giant Oak :: $500
· Shade Tree :: $125
· Acorn :: $30
Or, become a friend by volunteering your time at one of the following levels:
· Forest Planter :: 50 hours
· Trail Builder :: 30 hours
· Seed Starter :: 15 hours
All Friends of Starhill Forest are invited to friends-only events throughout the year, and they receive the Friends Newsletter and opportunities to obtain plants. Depending on
membership level, Friends also receive logo shirts, rare plants, walking sticks, logo patches, private tours or presentations for groups of their choice or arborist consultation at their homes.
Friends participate in Friends-only events such as workshops, tours, bonfire parties, and educational programs. They volunteer time to mow, eradicate invasive species, transplant and mulch trees, manage trails, maintain the website, lead workshops, help with GPS activities and serve as tour leaders.
