Housing Information
Living on campus is a unique experience where you will be immersed in the liberal arts experience as well as the history of Illinois College’s hilltop campus. You will be presented with hundreds of opportunities to learn and grow as a person, all the while making friends to last a lifetime. Illinois College believes that living on campus is an important aspect of a private, liberal arts education. Studies have shown that students who live on campus are more involved and are more likely to graduate.

However, exceptions to the housing requirement are allowed on occasion to respond to needs that cannot be accommodated in the residential setting. To request an exception to the IC housing policy, please complete the Housing Exception Form.

Fall 2013 online housing application login details will be mailed to students upon receipt of the $200. Please contact your admission counselor if you need assistance.

Illinois College Housing Policy:
All students with less than 88 hours must live on campus. All students will be responsible for the full room and board cost, which will automatically be charged to their account. Exemptions for specific reasons must be filed in the Dean of Student’s Office or Residential Life Office by November 1 for the following Spring semester and by May 1 for the following Fall semester. A housing exception form must be filled out annually by anyone who does not meet the Illinois College housing policy requirements.

Physical Exam and Immunization Record
Schedule an appointment with your health care provider so that you will have your Physical Exam and Immunization Record completed by August 1. Students will not be allowed to register for their fall classes if their health history and tuberculosis screening forms are not completed and returned to the Health Services Office.
Final High School Transcripts
Admitted students must submit an official record indicating the date of graduation from a secondary school approved by a state or regional accrediting agency prior to the first day of class. Illinois College accepts credits earned by dual-enrollment, provided the credits are presented on the transcript of an accredited institution of higher education. Transcripts must be received prior to the first day of class. If you have questions please contact our office.

Standardized Test Scores
Although not required to determine an admission decision, standardized test scores must be submitted prior to enrollment to assist in appropriate course placement and scheduling. If you have questions please contact our office.

College & AP Credits
Illinois College accepts credits earned by dual-enrollment, provided the credits are presented on the transcript of an accredited institution of higher education. Illinois College also accepts Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, CLEP and other work based on testing, based on its evaluation of the test scores. In no case does Illinois College allow double-dipping (e.g., credit for both the AP test results and a dual credit high school course in the same area would not be allowed).
