The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is featuring an article on the “Documented Rights” exhibition at the St. Louis branch of the National Archives, and Illinois College History Professor Joseph Genetin-Pilawa is included in the story for his participation with the exhibit.
Genetin-Pilawa, who specializes in 19th century United States history, Civil War and Reconstruction, and the indigenous peoples of North America, took part in a panel discussion for the exhibit in St. Louis last November. The exhibit showcases milestone documents drawn from the 14 regional National Archives across the country to illustrate this nation’s continuing process of defining human and civil rights.
