Kate Muchmore joins the Department of Theatre
Please join us in welcoming Kate! From beginning as a clown in a fifth grade production, to playing Christine in "The Phantom of the Opera," and essentially serving as backstage crew chief even while acting in high school shows, she went on to graduate summa cum laude from Otterbein University with a concentration in stage management. In her Master's of Arts degree from Western Washington University, she concentrated on both acting and directing. Most recently, she comes to us from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with an Master's in Fine Arts in directing. Kate has done it all: she has worked as a choreographer, stage manager, worked in lights, sounds and props, as costume designer, videographer, box office assistant and house manager. All that, plus a passion for teaching theatre. We are looking forward to a great year ahead!
