IC Explorer Internship Description

Nestlé is the world's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company. Our mission of "Good Food, Good Life" is to provide consumers with the best tasting, most nutritious choices in a wide range of food and beverage categories and eating occasions, from morning to night. The Jacksonville, IL plant is the sole manufacturer of spray dried Coffee-Mate for North America, as well as producing for other markets around the globe. The Nestlé-Jacksonville factory is a 24 hour, 7 day operation, employing 175 employees to produce 160 million pounds of Coffee-Mate annually.

The facility is seeking up to three student interns for their summer internships. These internship positions would be responsible for leading value-added improvement activities across the facility. Interns would work closely with either the Engineering/Maintenance or Quality Assurance Manager, depending on their background and experience. These activities will also give interns exposure to cross-functional teams that will broaden their knowledge and skills for future assignments.

The internship is open to students of Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and/or Environmental Biology/Chemistry Degree Programs.

The successful candidates should have experience in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), analytical skills, work independently as well as with others, resourceful, ambitious and reliable.

The Nestlé interns will work for 12 weeks and will earn $12.00 per hour. This differs from the published amount in the general IC Explorer information.
