How do I get a NetID Account?
Every Illinois College student is assigned a NetID when they start their freshman year. The NetID is used to securely log in to the network.

Students pick up their NetID information during the Summer Orientation Sessions. If you did not attend a summer orientation session and want to know your Illinois College NetID information, please contact the Help Desk at 245-3416 or email helpdesk@ic.edu.

What is my Email and Net ID Password?
Illinois College students are given an Illinois College email account and network login and password.

Your email and NetID account are set up with the same password. If you change the password on one, the password for both has been changed.

How do I change my network password?
Log-on to a campus computer
Press the Control, Alt & Delete keys simultaneously
Choose the button: 'Change Password'
Enter your Old Password
Enter a New Password
Enter the New Password again to Confirm
Choose: OK

How do I change my email password?
Please go to your mail settings.  This can be done by selecting the gear picture in the top right of your screen when you are in your email inbox.  Choose mail settings and then click the Accounts tab.  At the top of this screen you should see Google Account settings.  Click on this and then on the following screen click on Changing your password.  Follow the prompts and make sure to click on Save before you exit the screen.  If you forget your password please call the help desk at 3416.  We cannot see your password but we can reset it from the Administrator account.

What if I forget my password? 
Please call or stop by the help desk. If you come by the help desk in person, you must present your student ID.  If you call the help desk, an email administrator will call you back and ask for identifying information before the password is reset. We do not keep records of passwords, nor can we see what your password is.
