Gifts to Illinois College can express deep personal connections. They can mark occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, honor friends or mentors, or memorialize loved ones. There is no more meaningful way to celebrate an occasion, a friendship or a life than to make a gift that will benefit others far into the future.
A gift to Illinois College, made in another’s name, can be the perfect present for a person who needs no more “stuff.” Holiday, birthday or anniversary gifts are easy to arrange. Illinois College can send the honoree a birthday or all-occasion card detailing a donor’s gift, or the College can send the card to you to be sent on with your personal message.
Donors may also wish to honor someone with an Illinois College connection, such as a fondly-recalled professor, staff member and/or athletic coach, or simply a college friend. The College will send acknowledgements of honorary gifts to the living honorees.
Families often request that memorial donations be made to Illinois College, but such gifts are appropriate without a public request. Illinois College supplies each donor’s name to the family, keeping individual gift amounts confidential. When appropriate, Office of Advancement staff will discuss with the family how the College will best use memorial gifts.
Gifts in honor of or in memory of an individual create lasting symbols of friendship, love and respect.
