Trustee Scholarship - Full Tuition

This four-year, or eight semester, honor is bestowed upon five exceptional first-time freshmen students each year.

Recipients will be selected from among the top 10% of the year's applicant pool and will be invited to interview on campus in January.  The selection committee considers all students with outstanding academic records, strong admission essays, and evidence of leadership and active involvement in their school and community.

Completed applications for admission to the College must be postmarked by 12/1 of the student's senior year to be considered for the Trustee Scholarship.

Edward Beecher Scholarship

The Edward Beecher Scholarship offers awards for students entering in 2017-2018 of $13,000 - $21,000 per year for up to four years, or eight semesters.

Educated at Yale and Andover Seminary, Dr. Beecher became the pastor of Park Street Church in Boston in 1826, and in 1830 became the first president of Illinois College. The fledgling college grew under his leadership for fourteen years. Consistent with the work of his siblings, famous writer Harriett Beecher Stowe and popular American preacher Henry Ward Beecher, Edward was a devoted abolitionist who organized the first anti-slavery society in Illinois. Beecher Hall, the oldest college building in the state, bears the family name and remains in use on campus today.
