Head Coach - Chad Nelson
Coach Nelson originally hails from Newaygo, Michigan but has been a resident of the state of Illinois since 2002. Coach Nelson is a graduate of Lincoln Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. from 2002-2006 he was an assistant coach at Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln. Il. While there, the LCC Angels won 4-regional championships,2- National Runner- Ups, and 1- National Championship. Coach Nelson then moved to Bloomington, IL where he was a volunteer assistant with the Illinois State University Redbirds. The Redbirds finished their season (21-12) at the NCAA National Tournament in Ann Arbor, MI.
This is Coach Nelson's first year with the Lady Blues. Reeling from a difficult season last year the Lady Blues are looking to come back with a vengeance. He is going to rely on an outstanding senior class for leadership and and unsurpassed work ethic to bring back the volleyball tradition on this campus and in the community.
