Head Coach - Brenna Kelly

Success has been Brenna Kelly's trademark. After racking up 241 wins in her first 19 seasons, Kelly is well on her way to becoming one of the most successful coaches in the College's long athletic history.
The Kahoka, Mo. native and former Culver-Stockton College standout has compiled impressive credentials since taking over the reins of the Lady Blues' program in 1987. Now in her 20th season, Kelly has steered the Lady Blues to a prominent position in the Midwest Conference. Her teams own an overall record of 241-197, and qualified for the league's post-season championship tournament from 1991 through 1997, and again in 1999. That run produced a league title in 1993 and runner-up finishes in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
In addition to being recognized as one of the most successful coaches in Illinois College sports history, Kelly is credited with having done more to advance and promote women's athletics on the hilltop campus than any of her predecessors. Her induction into the Illinois College Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 underscored her status as one of IC's all-time coaching leaders.
Success in sports has been part of Kelly's life since her days as a standout student-athlete at Clark County (Mo.) High School. She continued her playing career first at Moberly Junior College and later at Culver-Stockton College where, over a two-year span, she captured all-district and all-league honors and played on teams that won 50 games. Kelly continued her education at Southeast Missouri State University where she earned a master's degree and then helped the SEMO women achieve unprecedented levels of success in her two years as an assistant basketball coach.
Kelly added volleyball to her coaching responsibilities from 1990-1999 and, like her efforts in basketball, successfully positioned the Lady Blues among the region's top NCAA Division III colleges and universities. Before she gave up coaching volleyball in 1999, she amassed five Midwest Conference titles, seven consecutive first-place finishes in the South Division (1991-1997), and one NCAA Division III post-season tournament appearance (1993). Her combined mark of 225 wins ranks the former IC skipper among the nation's winningest coaches at the Division III level, and she received her second MWC Coach of the Year award after leading the Lady Blues to the 1998 league crown. Other duties on campus include being coach of the IC women's golf team.
