Aaron Burd (Pitching)
Aaron, originally from Farmington, Illinois, enters his second season with the Ilinois College Blueboys and will be their assistant coach with a primary focus on working with the Blueboys pitching staff. Previously, Burd spent time as the pitching coach for the Mac Murray College Highlanders and before that has spend some time as an assistant coach in the Central Illinois Collegiate League. He spent this past summer working various camps throughout the Midwest, including the University of Notre Dame, University of Kentucky, University of Illinois, and Springfield College of Illinois. His other coaching experiences include a three-year head coaching position with the American League Post #140 out of Farmington.
Burd was a four-year letter winner for the Knox College Prairie Fire and received his degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Sports Studies. Currently he resides in Jacksonville and teaches at Griggsville-Perry Elementary School.
Noah Eckhouse
The Jacksonville High School graduate returns to the diamond in a different role for the 2008 baseball season. A four year varsity starter for the Blueboys, Noah completed his eligibility last spring and finished with a .348 career batting average, good for # 7 on the career list at Illinois College. Noah was the 2005 team batting champion and a former captain for the Blueboys. Noah will graduate in May with a degree in Communications. He will be working with the Blueboy hitters and infielders this spring.
Shane Patton
The Springfield Ursuline Acadamey graduate returns to the Blueboy Coaching Staff following a two year absence. Shane was a record setting pitcher for the Blueboys fom 2003-2006 seasons. He was the team's most valuable pitcher, a two year captain and stabilized the pitching staff during his four year career. The 2006 business/finance major currently is employed by Williamsville Bank in Springfield. He will assist pitching coach Aaron Burd along with working with the Blueboy outfielders this spring.
Trevor Scott
The Illini Central graduate begins his second tour of duty on the Blueboys coaching staff. Trevor served as a student assistant coach due to injury during the 2005 campaign. He has been a mainstay on the Blueboy pitching staff since his arrival in 2003. He has served as an instructor in numerous camps at Illinois College during his time on the Hill Top. The hard throwing right hander served in both starting and relieving roles during his Illinois College career. Trevor's twin brother Travis is currently a catcher in the Seattle Mariners organization.
