Illinois College Assessment Committee1

To coordinate and facilitate assessment planning, implementation, and reporting, and thereby encourage improvement and innovation across the Campus, the College has formed the Illinois College Assessment Committee.  The members of the Assessment Committee are the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Advancement, Vice President for Enrollment, Vice President for Business Affairs, Vice President for Student Affairs, Registrar, Director of Institutional Research, two student representatives, Faculty representative from Division I (humanities), Faculty representative from Division II (mathematics, natural and physical sciences), Faculty representative from Division III (social sciences), and Chair (faculty).


Assessment at Illinois College

The Illinois College Assessment Committee has approved a handbook of policies and procedures.  The handbook is divided as follows:

  3. Roles of the Illinois College Assessment Committee
  4. Assessment in Academic Departments or Programs and Administrative Units
    1. The Assessment Plan
      Lists information that should be included in the plan, where it should be submitted, and the due date.
    2. The Mid-Year Assessment Progress Report
      Lists information that should be included in the mid-year progress report, where it should be submitted, and the due date.
    3. The Assessment Implementation Report
      Lists information that should be included in the report, where the report should be submitted, and the due date.
    4. Review of the Assessment Implementation Report
      Describes how the department/program/unit Assessment Implementation Report is reviewed and the due date.
  5. Assessment in the Divisions of the College
    1. The Vice President Assessment Synthesis Report
    2. Integration of Assessment Results and Decision Making Processes in the College Divisions
  6. The Institutional Assessment Report
    Lists information that should be included in the report, where the report should be submitted, and the due date.
  7. Assessment Annual Cycle
    Illustrates the annual cycle of information collection, integration, analysis, and dissemination.
