Featuring Claridge Writer-in-Residence, Professor Claude Clayton Smith, a much-published writer of fiction, children’s fiction, poetry and non-fiction prose.

Rammelkamp Chapel
A fun talent competition between individuals, groups and organizations. Singing, dancing, comedy and skits – all in one show!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11
5K Run and 4K Family Walk ▪ 7:45 On-site Registration / 8:30 a.m. Shotgun start
Bruner Center
The cost for participating in the event is $15 for adults. The entrance fee will include an official race t-shirt made with moisture wicking fabric. Children are encouraged to join family members on the walk free of charge. Pre-register by calling the Illinois College Alumni Office at 217.245.3069.
As a bonus, the first 50 alumni or community members who pre-register will receive free admission to the Homecoming football game. Official race t-shirts will be guaranteed to those who pre-register by October 1.
The 5K Run and 4K Family Walk is sponsored by the IC Alumni Office and the College’s Indoor/Outdoor Recreational Sports Class.
Fun Run for Children ▪ Follows 5K Run and 4K Walk, Approx. 9:15 a.m.
All children participating in the quarter mile run on the Ware Family Track receive a ribbon. Free.
Donor Recognition Breakfast ▪ 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Begins at the Illinois College Walkway intersection with Park Street, continuing north to College Avenue and then heading east along College to Downtown Jacksonville
Bring your blanket, lawn chair or simply use the grandstands along Park Street. Want to enter your baby or child in the Alumni Legacy Kids parade entry? Dress up the kids and decorate your stroller or wagon to win a prize! All children must be accompanied on the parade route with their parents. After the parade enjoy a great buffet luncheon with pork barbecue sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, potato and pasta salad, chips, iced brownies, tea or lemonade. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children, ages 5-12; children four and under free. Bring the entire family. Sorry, student meal plans do not apply.

Support campus organizations and departments by visiting their booths during the football game. There will be food and spirit wear to purchase. If inclement weather, the Maketplace relocates to Rammelkamp Concourse in the Bruner Center

Parents are invited to stop by and get to know one another. Members of the campus staff and faculty will be present as well as members of the Parent Council. Learn more about how the Parent Council and Parent Association serve you. It is another way that Illinois College parents can enjoy homecoming festivities.

*A la carte food items for purchase and a cash bar will be available for alumni, parents and friends. No outside beverages are permitted on the Illinois College campus. College policy prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages at athletic contests, except in the Homecoming Weekend Celebration Tent. Illinois College asks for your understanding of and compliance with these regulations.
If inclement weather, all activities under the Homecoming Weekend Celebration Tent move indoors to the King Field House in the Bruner Center. All activities go on, rain or shine!

• Admittance fee for the football game is $5 for adults. All parents of competing athletes, students and children are free. Gate proceeds support Illinois College athletics.
• Catering services are provided by Chartwells and Don’s Place.
• Reservations help us finalize catering plans and prepare for your arrival on campus. However, please know reservations are accepted past October 1 and walk-ins are most welcome. We want you to come to the Homecoming activities!
