Deferred Gifts
Illinois College has a long and rich history of being the benefactor of a variety of deferred gifts, which have built a solid foundation upon which Illinois College will address its future. Gifts to Illinois College through an individual's estate have an everlasting impact on the College and its students, faculty and staff. While the College depends upon the annual gifts of its alumni and friends to support its daily operations, estate or deferred gifts become a part of the College's endowment. Earnings from the endowment annually provide the funds necessary for scholarship assistance, research funds, travel awards and additional resources, which create endless opportunities for our students and faculty.
Alumni and friends who have made provisions for Illinois College in their estate plans and have notified a representative of the College of their intent are granted membership in the Julian Monson Sturtevant Society. These types of gifts include: bequests, annuities, charitable remainder trusts, pooled income funds, unitrusts or gifts of property.
