Thank you for your interest in Illinois College! Although most of our students enroll at Illinois College directly after high school, many students choose to enroll at the College after starting their college career elsewhere. Illinois College is a four-year, private, liberal arts institution with an enrollment of 1,037 undergraduate students. We do not offer any graduate level programs. We are located in Jacksonville, IL in beautiful west central Illinois. Jacksonville is a friendly community of 25,000 people. It is located 30 miles west of Springfield, IL (state capital), 90 miles north of St. Louis, MO and 235 miles southwest of Chicago, IL.
Transfer students may apply for either the Fall semester or the Spring semester. Completed applications for admission must be submitted by January 1st for spring semester and August 1st for fall. The following items must be submitted to complete your transfer admission application:

Transfer students may transfer in no more than 66 credits from a 2-year college that will apply to the 120 hour degree requirement. In most cases credit is awarded for courses taken at regionally accredited institutions which have content similar to courses offered at Illinois College. No credit is given for any coursework for which the student received a grade of D or below. Final evaluation of transfer credit resides with the office of the Registrar and the Dean of the College.
