Illinois College Admissions


Admission Requirements

    • A secondary/college background that would indicate a high probability of success at Illinois College both in terms of grades received and types of courses completed.
    • Minimum combined New SAT scores of 1410, with a minimum critical reading score of 450, or a minimum ACT composite of 20, with a minimum English score of 20, are recommended for admission.  Illinois College ACT Code: 1034.  Illinois College SAT Code: 1315.
    • TOEFL scores are required for students whose native language is not English.  A minimum TOEFL score of 79 (IBT) is required (213 on computer based test or 550 on paper based test).  TOEFL scores more than two years old will not be accepted.  Illinois College TOEFL Code: 1315.
    • At least two letters of recommendation, in English, from teachers who can attest to your academic ability and English language ability.

Admission to Illinois College is competitive.  Illinois College operates on rolling admission.  It is important to complete your application for admission as early as possible.  The Admission Committee will review your completed application promptly and notify you regarding their decision.

The application deadline for international students who wish to enroll in the Fall semester (August) is June 1st.  The application deadline for applying for the Spring semester (January) is November 1st.
