Please submit one of the following (option A or B) with your completed application.
A. The writing sample option requires the submission of a graded paper which you have written during your high school career that you feel is a strong sample of your written work (typed, two-page minimum).
Or
B. The Essay option requires the submission of a 1-3 page response to one of the topics below.
a. Describe the benefits of living in a racially, culturally, or ethnically diverse environment or outline what experience you believe you will need to live successfully in the multi-cultural society of the future.
b. Imagine that you have been assigned a roommate for your first year at Illinois College. Describe yourself and let your new roommate know what they might expect from you during your first few months on campus.
c. Explain or describe a significant experience, achievement, or individual who has had an influence on your life.
