Elizabeth H. Tobin is the Dean of the College and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. She oversees the faculty and the curriculum, the Study Abroad and BreakAway Office, Schewe Library, the Registrar’s Office, and Information Technology. Dean Tobin is a scholar of German history, has taught at the college-level for 27 years, and has worked at many levels of college administration. James Marshall is the Associate Dean of the College. He works with students facing academic or personal difficulties, organizes and leads the Convocation series, helps students obtain fellowships and apply for graduate schools, and collaborates with a wide variety of faculty and students on the issues of the day. Associate Dean Marshall is a Professor of Mathematics. He has taught at Illinois College for 13 years, is a specialist in harmonic analysis,, and is the faculty advisor to the Chess Club. Teresa Smith is the Office Manager in the Office of Academic Affairs. She works closely with Deans Tobin and Marshall especially on issues relating to the faculty. Her responsibilities include the organization of faculty evaluations, committees, grants, awards, faculty development, and faculty searches. She supervises the academic support staff. She works with Ms. Cox on summer orientation and answering questions of all kinds. Jeanette Cox is Administrative Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs. She works closely with Deans Tobin and Marshall especially on issues relating to students. Her responsibilities include the Convocation and Educational Policy Committees, course evaluations, notifications concerning withdrawals, excessive absences, academic status changes, contracts for incomplete grades, and advanced placement scores. Dr. Clatterbuck became Registrar in 1995. He has an undergraduate degree from William and Mary and a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University. He taught and coached debate and speech at Miami of Ohio, Auburn, Northern Colorado, and Butler, and he was the Chair of the Communications and Theatre department at IC before becoming Registrar. He handles room scheduling, course scheduling, computer programming, research and report writing for the office. He will be heavily involved in the Jenzabar computer system conversion during 2008-2010. clatter@ic.edu |

Helen Kuhn joined the Registrar’s Office in 2004. Her B.S. in Engineering comes from Northwestern University and she served on the Jacksonville District 117 School Board before joining Illinois College. She is the primary handler of incoming transfer work and graduation checks, and she also edits the Catalog. hkuhn@ic.edu |

Rhonda Keech has both B.A. in Social Justice Professions and MA in Legal Studies from University of Illinois – Springfield. She joined the Registrar’s Office in 2000. She is the primary handler of outgoing transcripts and is currently engaged in converting our paper transcripts from 1955-1989 into computer files. rkeech@ic.edu |
